Overview

We are currently seeking a Test Specialist Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will completing their final semester towards  a Bachelor's Degree program and be able to work a part-time schedule, during the spring semester. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Learn our corporate culture and basic day-to-day communication/work process
  • Learn the industry and business needs of our clients
  • Gain familiarization with MIL-STDs, to include but not limited to MIL-STD 6016, 6020, 3011 and 6011.
  • Learn and understand Basic Link-16 functionality and principles.
  • Learn how to prepare creative and effective presentations
  • Gain familiarity with Test Support Systems to include but not limited to MLST3, LHS, STG, LEGS
  • Learn message flows within standard shipboard architectures
  • Learn Analyst techniques and procedures.
  • Learn different numbering systems and how and where they apply.
  • Willing to study, learn and apply knowledge of Naval and DoD Tactical Data Link (TDL) technologies.
  • Regular Attendance on agreed upon schedule
  • Completion of all tasks and projects within allottedtime

Equipment Used:

  • Test and Development Tools, Computer, Keyboard, Mouse. Microsoft Office tools

Typical Working Conditions: 

  • This position does not accomodate remote work; Required to be on site. 
  • General office environment
  • Computer/Equipment lab

Essential Physical Tasks: 

  • Ability to lift 10 lbs. on an occasional basis. Ability to use a personal computer, keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis

Written Communications:

  • Operates standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively.

Verbal Communications: 

  • Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language
  • Knowledge of standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel
  • The ability to use a personal computer and data entry device (keyboard and mouse) on a constant basis
  • Must be currently enrolled in and working towards a Bachelor's Degree

Work Schedule:    Part-Time: 18 Hours a week for 8 weeks

 
Minimum Education Requirements: 
High School diploma or GED. Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program.

 

Pay Range: This is a Part Time, Non-Exempt Position. The pay is $17.25 to $25.00 an hour. 

  

U.S. Citizenship is required

 

Security Clearance:

Candidates must have an active clearance OR  the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
