Overview

We are currently seeking Software Configuration Analyst to provide support for NIWC Pacific. This role will provide C2P CDLMS software delivery support for C2P Integration Team, Internal and External Labs, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Fleet Casualty Reports (CASREPS). 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

 

  • Organize and plan C2P CDLMS software delivery requirements based on Fielding Plans, Emergent Tasking, and CASREPS.
  • Update C2P Site File Hull Unique Parameters (HUP) by implementing Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) specific for the Host Combat System.
  • Work closely with C2P CDLMS engineers to produce platform files to support new Host Combat Systems.
  • Request C2P software and verify the versions and software are correct.
  • Install supporting C2P software (Operating Systems and Patches) and verify installation before shipments.
  • Compare C2P CDLMS tactical software with known tested and approved software.
  • Use and update/add data and baselines in C2P Guidebook program.
  • Use IBM ClearCase to update Legacy C2P site files.
  • Maintain, update, and add to the C2P Legacy and Tech-Refresh software Quality Assurance procedures, hardware, and supporting software.
  • Maintain, update, and add to supporting C2P software request documents and spreadsheets such as Fielding Plans, Delivery Schedules, and other spreadsheets from internal and external stakeholders
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders such as In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), Lab testers, Navy Sailors.
  • Unclassified and Classified shipping and delivery of C2P software to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain courier authorization for hand carry of classified software for local deliveries and routine mail and shipment drop off.
  • Use Unix and Linux command line to navigate development and test systems in the office and lab.
  • Write and maintain test scripts as necessary to use for verifying software (PowerShell, Python, and Bash)
  • Fill out software transmittal forms and maintain record of deliveries.
  • Request, verify, and ship C2P Tech-Refresh quarterly Windows Patch.
Other Duties:
  • Employ configuration, application, and life cycle management tools and processes to maintain version control for software code, packages, libraries, containers, virtual machines, releases, and documents.
  • Maintain responsibility for tools and processes for a large, enterprise-level system in a fast-paced, agile, client-oriented environment.
  • Analyze and propose innovative approaches, including tools, processes, methods, and plug-ins for continuous enhancement of client software engineering and deployment processes.
  • Maintain responsibility for a configuration management plan and compliance with the plan for each project or development task.
  • Provide guidance to the government program manager and contractor development teams regarding methods, procedures, and requirements for program and system documentation and CM milestones.
Typical Working Conditions:
  • General office environment with USG provided NMCI Computer and peripheral equipment
    TEA Corporate laptop will be provided at the discretion of Executive Management

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience with measuring and monitoring progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and meet or exceed expectations
  • Experience with mixed environments such as Linux/Windows
  • IT experience is preferred.
  • Experience using IBM clear case is preferred.

  • Able to efficiently adapt to new priorities. This includes effectively multitasking project responsibilities with an awareness to support changes as needed.
  • The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.
  • Must be able to work onsite. 

Travel:

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • Associate's degree in a STEM field, Computer Science preferred
  • Bacheor's degree in a STEM field, Computer Science preferred

 

Pay Range: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 anually, DOE. 

 

U.S. Citizenship is required

 

Security Clearance:

Candidates must have an active clearance OR  the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
