We are currently seeking Senior Systems Engineer position in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) for Future Capabilities Planning for the Integrated Combat System and Aegis Weapon System (AWS) programs with Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) capability.
Responsibilities:
The individual hired into this position will provide senior systems engineering support to NSWCDD Integrated Combat Systems Department’s (V Department) Future Capabilities Division providing technical support for both development and in service programs. This may include:

Skills/Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years (for SSE) US Navy Surface Warfare combat systems/platform/missile engineering experience with (AWS) design, development, and integration. Required specialized experience in combat systems integration, operations, and systems engineering in such programs as Aegis Combat and Weapon Systems; Aegis BMD Sea-Based Weapon Systems; Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC); and/or Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD). Be familiar with the concepts and principles of model based systems engineering and at least two (2) years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. A combination of active duty/Industry/Civil Service is acceptable.
Fifteen (15) years of General Surface Navy Combat Systems engineering experience with at least seven (7) years of specialized experience. Specialized experience is defined as significant systems engineering responsibilities in one or more of the following areas:
1. Combat Systems Cyber Security
2. Ships Self Defense System
3. Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense Antisubmarine Warfare Trainer (CIAT)
4. Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class frigate
5. Aegis Integrated Combat Systems
6. DDG-1000 Zumwalt class destroyer
7. Track Management
8. Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense
9. Weapon/Combat Systems Experience

Security Clearance:
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
