We are currently seeking an IA Specialist administrative & technical expert within the BMD Network/IA team. Primary role of IA Specialist is administrative & technical expert within the BMD Network/IA team and conducts IA and windows workstation system administrative duties on the SSC PAC BMD networks.
Essential Functions/Job Duties:
Conduct IA and windows workstation system administrative duties on DOD networks.
Independently providing support with implementation requirements of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) standards (eMASS, STIG, SCAP, & ACAS). In depth knowledge of IA practices for computer networking systems and interfacing protocols used in support of Aegis BMD Program.
Executes Windows Patch Management, Windows Server Update Service (WSUS), and Host Based Security Service (HBSS).
Equipment Used: Computers, Servers, Switches, Cables
Typical Working Conditions: Laboratory Environment- Computer/Equipment lab. General office environment; Computer/Equipment lab; Non-hostile
Essential Physical Tasks: Ability to lift 10 lbs on an occasional basis. Ability to use a computer and mouse on a consistent basis
Written Communications: Independently generates documentation that presents ideas and/or information in a logical manner. Able to organize the information and use the best methods and/or formats for its' delivery (e.g. Government instructions, industry de-facto standards, etc.).
Skills / Qualifications:
Requires 3 plus years of experience of Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Information Assurance Technical (IAT) credentials and knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) practices.
Customer Interface Activities: Interfaces with customer and other contractor/civilian/military representatives utilizing clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
Project Management Tasks: Follows Government, company, or project processes and approval methods. Ability to follow clear established process and team priorities. Able to efficiently adapt to new priorities. This includes effectively multitasking project responsibilities with an awareness to support changes as needed. Contributes to the project team and/or manages a project task.
Work Schedule: 9/80 - The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements
Minimum Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED. BS degree in Information Technology desired
Required Certifications: Security Plus Certified, Windows 10 certification (70-697, 70-698 one of the two within 6 months); Additional IT certs a plus.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
