    We are currently seeking a Aegis Ashore Senior Navy Network System Administrator for Romania. This position will be located in Deveselu, Romania. Project duties involve Navy Computer Network Engineering in support of Romania AAMDS Operations and Maintenance. Provides support in the Information Assurance and System Administration of the Computer Network system located in Deveselu, Romania. Manages the Network system and assess network requirements to satisfy technical requirements. Must be Information Assurance Technical (IAT) LVL III compliant and have accreditations in Security+, Microsoft Windows 7 or above, Linux+ and COMP TIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) and Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA).


    Essential Functions/Job Duties:

    Provides computer network system administration at the AAMDS site.

    Assesses computer networks that interface with the combat system and tactical data link systems and coordinates with shore based facilities Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station (NCTAMS), Europe Central (EURCENT).

    Develops strategy in defining, isolating, and analyzing C3I Interoperability Issues. Uses the resultant data to develop, propose, and/or and implement solutions to these issues.

    Provides network defense, technical evaluations, assessments, equipment functional checks, technical assists, troubleshooting/test/analysis and equipment repair, part installation, operation, and maintenance for C4I systems and equipment including peripheral, interfaced and support systems. 


    Equipment Used:  ADNS, ISNS, CRYPTO devices



    Typical Working Conditions:  Operational environment containing electronic equipment. Non-hazardous.


    Essential Physical Tasks: Ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. on an occasional basis. Ability to live overseas and periodically travel OCONUS by automobile, air, etc.  


    Written Communications: Operates standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively. Proficient in the reading, writing and comprehension of technical documentation and manuals.



    Verbal Communications: Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.




    Skills / Qualifications: 

    Requires a minimum of 10 years in-depth knowledge and experience with computer system networking and interfacing protocols used in commercial and/or military communications systems.

    In-depth experience with Shipboard computer network systems administration, specifically Integrated Shipboard Network Systems and Advanced Digital network Systems and cryptographic devices is required. 


    Customer Interface Activities:  Interfaces with customers and other contractor/civilian/military representatives utilizing clear and effective written and oral communication skills. Provides input for consolidated BMD event Daily Status Reports (DSR).



    Project Management Tasks:  Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure optimum productivity.



    Work Schedule:    STD/40  The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.


    Minimum Education Requirements:
    High School diploma or GED.  Bachelors Degree in a relevant technical discipline is desired; 


    Required Certifications: USG IT Level III; Microsoft Windows 7, Linux+ and CASP; CCNA


    U.S. Citizenship is required


    Security Clearance:


    Candidates must have an active clearance OR  the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
