    Overview

     We are currently seeking a Senior Data Link Analyst who will be responsible to coordinate and directs large scale testing and data analysis efforts during both real time events and post event data analysis events. Provides this test support on current and future combat systems, such as Aegis, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD), Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC), DDG 1000, Guide Missile Frigate (FFG) and their associated sensor, command and control, weapon and communications interfaces. Independently establishes and operates secure communications links within multiple labs and remote sites.

    Provides troubleshooting and isolation of hardware and software issues. Provide issue resolution/s for both tactical and simulation subsystems across the distributed test environment and implements identified simulation solutions. 

     

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions/Job Duties:

    Identifies interoperability requirements and testing methodologies to ensure all tools maintain interoperability standards within a distributed test environment.

    Experience with tactical data link communications standards and protocols including Link-11, Link-16, Satellite TADIL J (STJ), Joint Range Extension (JRE), Link-22 and variants thereof.

    Coordinates and directs large scale testing and data analysis efforts during both real time events and post event data analysis events. Provides this test support on current and future combat systems, such as Aegis, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD), Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC), DDG 1000, Guide Missile Frigate (FFG) and their associated sensor, command and control, weapon and communications interfaces.

    Independently establishes and operates secure communications links within multiple labs and remote sites.

    Provides specialized knowledge of real-time modeling and simulation systems and/or combat systems and communications of data link operations, including Next Generation Simulation (NGS), Common Connectivity Device (CCD), Universal Message Generator (UMG), and Multiple Link System Tes

     

     

    Equipment Used:  Standard computer equipment and Naval Combat Systems, Simulation Stimulation (SIM/STIM) systems.

     

     

    Typical Working Conditions:  General office environment; Computer/Equipment lab 

     

     

    Essential Physical Tasks: Ability to lift 10 lbs. on an occasional basis.
    Potential domestic and/or international travel 10% of the time by automobile, air, etc.
    Ability to use a personal computer, keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis.

     

     

    Written Communications:  Demonstrates excellent (clear and concise) written communication skills in a technical format, that will support in the development of all required plans and reports required of the program.  

     

     

    Verbal Communications:  Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.

     

    Qualifications

     Skills/Qualifications:

    Eight years general combat system experience

    Six years specific experience in identifying interoperability requirements and testing methodologies.

    Experience with tactical data link communications standards.
    Experience trouble shooting and isolation of hardware and software issues.
    Experience coordinating and directing large scale testing and data analysis efforts. 

     

     

    Customer Interface Activities:  Suitable inter-personnel and customer service skills required to interface with corporate customers. Ability to effectively communicate with the Customer and peer contractor personnel.

     

     

    Project Management / Staff Supervision Tasks:  Ability to establish priorities, operate independently, and execute tasking with limited to no supervision.

     

     

    Work Schedule:    STD/40 The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements. Willingness to work on site or off site to accomplish the assigned tasks. Ability to work at multiple locations during normal working hours.

     

    Travel: 10 %


    Minimum Education Requirements: 
    High School diploma or GED

     

     

     

    U.S. Citizenship is required

     

    Security Clearance:

     

    Candidates must have an active clearance OR  the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
