    Overview

     We are currently seeking a Project Lead to lead simulation systems support team in the operation, preventative/corrective maintenance and repair, configuration management, system administration, Information Assurance (IA) and logistics technical support to existing and future combat system interface simulation. Responsible for coordinating large scale engineering, integration, and maintenance of computing infrastructure in support of complex combat system, modeling and/or simulation systems.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions/Job Duties:  Provides coordination and planning of all required system engineering, software development, integration and testing, and system deployment activities. Provides job estimation activities unique to their projects.

    Leads simulation systems support team in the operation, preventative/corrective maintenance and repair, configuration management, system administration, Information Assurance (IA) and logistics technical support to existing and future combat system interface simulation.

    Collaborates with the Government and other Contractor personnel to coordinate all activities pertaining to simulations systems maintenance and support, systems administration, test and operation, IA, and spares and logistics in accordance with priorities and objectives for each supported facility.

    Experience with combat system interface simulation, test and analysis systems including Next Generation Simulation (NGS), Common Connectivity Device (CCD), Universal Message Generator (UMG), and Multiple Link System Test Training Tool (MLST3)

     

     

    Equipment Used:  Standard computer equipment and Naval Combat Systems, Simulation Stimulation (SIM/STIM) systems.

     

     

    Typical Working Conditions: General office environment; Computer/Equipment lab 

     

     

    Essential Physical Tasks: Ability to lift 10 lbs. on an occasional basis. Potential domestic and/or international travel 10% of the time by automobile, air, etc.
    Ability to use a personal computer, keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis.

     

     

    Written Communications: Demonstrates excellent (clear and concise) written communication skills in a technical format, that will support in the development of all required plans and reports required of the program.  

     

     

    Verbal Communications: Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.
    Provides clear and relevant information and direction to the team, to ensure all activities are executed with little to no supervision or re-direction.
    Provides periodic status and updates of the team and support test program to his/her management.

     

    Qualifications

     Skills/Qualifications: Ten years general combat system experience

    Eight years experience in coordinating large scale engineering, integration and maintenance in support of complex combat systems. Experience in the coordination of system engineering, software development and system development activities.

     

     

    Customer Interface Activities:  Suitable inter-personnel and customer service skills required to interface with corporate customers. Ability to effectively communicate with the Customer and peer contractor personnel.

     

     

    Project Management / Staff Supervision Tasks: Ability to establish priorities, operate independently, and execute tasking with limited to no supervision.
    Provides inputs and support in execution of all phases of a test program. This includes during the planning, development, execution and reporting of test effort.
    Manages the day to day tasking and operation of all personnel assigned to the project

     

     

    Work Schedule:    STD/40  The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.  Willingness to work on site or off site to accomplish the assigned tasks.

     

     

    Travel: 10 % 

     

    Minimum Education Requirements:  High School diploma or GED

     

     

    U.S. Citizenship is required

     

    Security Clearance:

     

    Candidates must have an active clearance OR  the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
