     We are currently seeking an Engineer to design and direct the stand up of a Software Development Environment using Amazon Web Services on the C2P MOD Development Program.



    Essential Functions/Job Duties:

    • Design and implement a software development environment that covers the entire Software Development Lifecycle using current methodologies to include Continuous Deployment, Agile, and DevOps.
    • Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control verification within applicable life-cycle phases of software development and prototyping to assure all actions are completed in accordance with appropriate policy, standards and procedures.
    • Research and provide recommendations for available virtual hosting services to support the needs of the Software Development Program.
    • Implement cloud development environment such as Amazon Web Service or other virtual hosting services.
    • Define tools needed for cloud based data repositories and Configuration Management of the Software Development Program.
    • Knowledge of Internet capabilities. Java, NET framework, and virtualization.
    • Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems for use in the development environment.


    Skills / Qualifications:  Requires 10-15 years experience establishing processes and procedures for setting up C++ 
    development environments that are virtually hosted.



    Equipment Used: Laptop Computer and peripheral equipment


    Typical Working Conditions: General office environment with USG provided NMCI Computer and peripheral equipment


     Essential Physical Tasks: Ability to lift 10 lbs. on an occasional basis.

     Ability to use a personal computer, keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis


    Written and Verbal Communications: Operates standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively with a high degree of competency. Independently generates documentation that presents information in a logical manner. Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.



    Customer Interface Activities: Uses independent discretion to develop an effective client to customer communication process involving stakeholder identification, planned communication, efficient information distribution, and managing expectations.


    Project Management / Staff Supervision Tasks: Able to efficiently adapt to new priorities. This includes effectively multitasking project responsibilities with an awareness to support changes as needed.

    Ability to document and track project time lines and milestones


    Work Schedule:  The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.


    Travel: Possibility of domestic travel up to 10% of the time by automobile, air, etc.


    Minimum Education Requirements: BS (Computer Science, EE, ME, IE, Physics)


    Required Certifications: Technical certs a plus


    U.S. Citizenship is required


    Security Clearance:

    Candidates must have an active clearance OR  the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
