Overview

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a candidate for contingent hire for a RITE Senior System Engineering - Security for SSC Pacific Code 532. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

 

Ability to support as the Lead Systems Administrators for SWAN, DXNet, MDACNet and NIPRNet Network Domains in the CTB/BTS, which are 100% STIG, ACAS, and SCAP compliant.

 

Performs all DIACAP process for SSC Pacific test configurations IATOs, and the ATOs for the CTB and BTS. 

 

Provides oversight in all aspects of cybersecurity system administration for the CTB including network design, security configurations, patching/upkeep, migration, backup, fail-over, system recovery, application stability, and user support.

 

Responsible for updating all C&A documentation, as well as executing and reporting all IAVAs and STIG compliance events.

 

Reviews and analyzes pending IAVAs on the SIPRNet IA website and corrects all vulnerabilities for hosts connected to SSC Pacific’s SWAN, BTS DXNet and the MDACNet that requireIAVA\STIG\ACAS updates/fixes.

 

Controls the security posture for the TCES Lab MDACNet 6 workstations.

 

 

Skills / Qualifications: 

Must have CompTIA Security +, Network +, Sever +, CISSP

 

Two year experience using JIRA on DI2E Developers Network for GCCS-I3 web application development.

 

Proficient in programming in C/C++, Python, and PHP.

 

 

Equipment Used:

 SSC Pacific’s SWAN, BTS DXNet and the MDACNet, TCES Lab MDACNet 6 workstations, GCCS-I3

 

Typical Working Conditions:

 General office environment; Computer/Equipment lab; US Naval Ship (Non-Hostile)

 

Essential Physical Tasks:

 Ability to lift 10 lbs. on an occasional basis.
Potential domestic and/or international travel 10% of the time by automobile, air, etc.
Ability to use a personal computer, keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis.

 

Written Communications:

 

Demonstrates and implements the required format and content of the various reports (i.e., DSR, Defect Report, Quicklook report, final report) as required by the test program. 

 

Demonstrates excellent (clear and concise) written communication skills in a technical format, that will support in the development of all required plans and reports required of the program. 

 

 

Verbal Communications:

Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.

 

Provides clear and relevant information and direction to the team, to ensure all activities are executed with little to no supervision or re-direction.

 

Provides periodic status and updates of the team and support test program to management and promptly reports any issues of either that can impact resources, schedule or tasking of the team and test  program.

Qualifications

 

Customer Interface Activities:

 

Suitable inter-personnel and customer service skills required to interface with corporate customers.

 

Ability to effectively communicate with the Customer, SSC-Pacific Center's staff, and peer contractor personnel.

 

Project Management / Staff Supervision Taks:

 

 Ability to establish priorities, operate independently, and execute tasking with limited to no supervision.

 

Work Schedule:    9/80

 

Travel: < 15% Domestic or Local 


Minimum Education Requirements:

Desired: BS Degree in a relevant Technical Discipline (Engineering, CS, Physics)

 

 

Required Certifications:

ComTIA Security +, Network +, Server +, CISSP, CCNA

 

U.S. Citizenship is required

 

Security Clearance:

 

Candidates must have an active clearance OR  the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
