Position Overview: We are currently seeking a candidate for contingent hire for a RITE System Engineering for SSC Pacific Code 532.
Essential Functions/Job Duties:
Proficient in programming in C/C++, Python, and PHP
Capability to write scripts in Bourne Shell that supporting in fixing issues found on Government approved Security scans (local and remote scans). Including, sh, csh and TK/TCL Expect scripts used in various stages of Solaris JumpStart
System administration support for GCCS-I3 server suite
Provides configuration and maintenance support for a twenty zone suite of Solaris 10 servers supporting GCCS-I3 / JTT applications
Skills / Qualifications:
Coordinate software upgrades to ensure systems comply with the site security policies. Worked closely with the GCCS-I3 development team for remote assistance while troubleshooting and upgrading the GCCS-I3 server suites.
Implemented Solaris JumpStart networks for use with installing JRE on multiple computers at once. Wrote scripts in Bourne Shell that fixed any problems found with Government approved Security scans (local and remote scans). Including, sh, csh and TK/TCL Expect scripts used in various stages of Solaris JumpStart
Experience ensuring the server and client machines are compliant with the security requirements for the classified networks on which they operate.
Experience training military end-users on a variety of complex Targeting/Intelligence applications hosted on the GCCS-J/I3 system
Linux/UNIX system, GCCS-I3 suite, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, Solaris System

General office environment; Computer/Equipment lab; US Naval Ship (Non-Hostile)
Essential Physical Tasks:
Ability to lift 10 lbs. on an occasional basis.
Potential domestic and/or international travel 10% of the time by automobile, air, etc.
Ability to use a personal computer, keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis.
Demonstrates and implements the required format and content of the various reports (i.e., DSR, Defect Report, Quicklook report, final report) as required by the test program.
Demonstrates excellent (clear and concise) written communication skills in a technical format, that will support in the development of all required plans and reports required of the program.
Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.
Provides clear and relevant information and direction to the team, to ensure all activities are executed with little to no supervision or re-direction.
Provides periodic status and updates of the team and support test program to management and promptly reports any issues of either that can impact resources, schedule or tasking of the team and test program.
Customer Interface Activities:
Suitable inter-personnel and customer service skills required to interface with corporate customers.
Ability to effectively communicate with the Customer, SSC-Pacific Center's staff, and peer contractor personnel.
Project Management / Staff Supervision Tasks:
Ability to establish priorities, operate independently, and execute tasking with limited to no supervision.

Minimum Education Requirements:
Desired: BS Degree in a relevant Technical Discipline (Engineering, CS, Physics)
ComTIA Security +, Network +, Server + certified and CISSP
U.S. Citizenship is required
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
