Overview

We are currently seeking an Information Assurance (IA) Specialist for the  Poland Aegis Ashore (PL AA) Missile Defense system.

Perform as the PL AA Information Assurance manager assuring information and managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data and the systems and processes used for those purposes. Apply Department of Defense measures to protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation.

 

This position will be in Poland.

Responsibilities

 

Provide network expertise in ADNS and ISNS or CANES to facilitate the operational readiness of PL AA.

Act as the technical lead to conduct system administrative and troubleshooting duties. Support PL AA operations using the Navy Information Application Product Suite, Naval Tactical Command Support System, Global Command and Control System – Maritime and casualty reporting tool and provide technical support in the Common PC Operating System Environment 4.0 ISNS AN/USQ-153D(V)9 or CANES.

Support maintenance of the SECRET Internet protocol router and UNCLASSIFIED Internet protocol router networks, and provide help desk support to PL AA personnel.

Support installation, configuration, and verification of the C4I systems from an information system perspective, including ISNS or CANES, ADNS, Navigation Sensor System Interface (NAVSSI), and Navy Multi -band Terminal (NMT) baseline integration into the AA environment by reviewing documentation and system configurations, providing high-level data analysis, and providing recommendations to leadership.

Assess the use of ADNS, ISNS or CANES connecting via super high frequency, and extremely high frequency satellite communications systems.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Skills / Qualifications: 

 

In depth experience with Information Assurance (IA) management, as information assurance officer.

In depth knowledge of computer system networking and interfacing protocols used in commercial and/or military communications systems.

8 years In depth experience in network system technical engineering network maintenance in Integrated Ships Network Systems (ISNS), and Automated Digital Network Systems (ADNS). Expert knowledge of Navy network systems to include LAN/wide area network, ADNS and ISNS.

CISSP certification to support privileged system administrator access to tactical AWS networks. 

 

Equipment Used:

Military Network Systems ISNS, ADNS

 

Written Communications: 

Clearly defines, describes, and lists steps and processes required to accurately verify specific A3C4I system performance requirements (i.e. generate detailed test plans and procedures).
Operates standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively.

 

Verbal Communications:

Participates in pre/post-mission meetings and teleconferences with customer and other contractor/civilian/military representatives.
Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.

 

Customer Interface Activities:

Interfaces with customers and other contractor/civilian/military representatives utilizing clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
Provides input for consolidated event Weekly Status Reports (WSR).
Participates in pre/post-mission meetings and teleconferences with customer and other contractor/civilian/military representative.

 

Project Management / Staff Supervision Tasks:

Team lead for Network and EXCOMM personnel

 

Travel: 10% 


Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelors of Science in Information Technology

 

Required Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

 

U.S. Citizenship is required

 

Security Clearance: Secret

 

Candidates must have an active clearance OR  the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
