    Overview

     

    We are looking for a Systems Software Developer who will provide Subject Matter expertise in maintaining operating systems, database packages, compliers, assemblers and utility programs. You will have the ability to work independently from specifications to develop and modify software applications.

    Responsibilities

     

    Essential Functions/Job Duties: 

    Experience with three out of seven development tools: XML, ASP.NET, Silverlight, WCF, HTML, JavaScript, and .NET or experience using two out of four desktop development languages/tools: C#, Java, C++, and ArcObjects, as applicable. Experience with enterprise level databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, ArcSDE).

    Works independently from specifications to develop or modify software applications.

    Experience designing, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documenting programs.

    Subject Matter expertise in maintaining operating systems, database packages, compliers, assemblers and utility programs.

    Ability to work independently from specifications to develop and modify software applications.

    Equipment Used:  Office equipment suite, Network and Communication equipment.

     

    Essential Physical Tasks: Office Space, standing, lifting, and some climbing of stairs.Ability to travel 10% of the time by air, automobile, ship, etc. The ability to use a personal computer and data entry device (keyboard and mouse) on a consistent basis. 

     

    Written Communications: Operates standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively. Properly documents Coded and Development actions according to set procedures.

     

    Verbal Communications: Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.

     

    Qualifications

    Skills/Qualifications:

    Must have a total of 4 years programming experience with the three of the following minimums:

    XML, ASP.NET, Silverlight, WCF, HTML, JavaScript, and .NET

    Must have 4 years experience in two of the following development languages/tools: C#, Java, C++, and ArcObjects, as applicable.

    Customer Interface: Excellent communications skills which build and maintain relationships with new or existing customers for the scheduling activities required.Works on government site, interfaces daily with government and DOD personnel

     

    Minimum Education Requirements:  Bachelors Degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required

     

    Work Schedule:  Works a normal 40 hour a week schedule, but could have the occasional need to work off hours to support testing. 

     

    Travel: <10%

     

    U.S. Citizenship is required.

     

    Security Clearance:  Secret

     

    Candidates must have the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
